At Pennyman Primary Academy, we believe that music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. We aim to provide a high quality music education that engages and inspires our pupils to develop a love of music, develops their musical talents as musicians, increase their self confidence and sense of achievement. We want our pupils to critically engage with music, compose, listen, sing and perform with the very best music can offer.
Forty-two children from the choir and twenty-two children from the SEND choir went to St Nicholas Church in Guisborough to sing as part of an Easter Service. The SEND choir sang ‘We have a King who rides a donkey’ and provided the actions using sign language. The Pennyman choir sang ‘The Lord’s our Shepherd’ and ‘My song is love unknown’. Some of the children also did some readings and we are incredibly proud of all the children who took part.
